Rallying Background

Nic van der Westhuizen started his rallying career in 2011 with a Toyota Yaris 1300 cc competing in class S2 in the Northern Regional Championship.

Results

Subaru Bruma Belfast Rally
1st in class and 9th overall from 44 entrants.

Bathroom Bizarre Tzaneen Rally
2nd in class and 7th overall from 33 entrants of which only 13 finished.

Electrothread Delmas Rally
2nd in class and 8th overall from 36 entrants.

Toyota Gauteng Dealer Rally
2nd in class and 9th overall from 27 entrants.

Gauteng All Tar Rally
3rd in class and 15th overall from 25 entrants.

HMC Witbank Rally
First in class over first five special stages. Then, unfortunately due to technical difficulties resulting in overheating of the motor, did not finish.

SAHARA Rally
First in class over first six special stages, but due to the same technical difficulties as mentioned above, did not finish.

SAM 100 Rally
First in class over first 7 special stages, due to driver error did not finish.

Nic van der Westhuizen finished 2nd in class S2 for the 2011 season and 11th overall.
